Elbow supports first and foremost prevent the upper extremity (UE) from sliding back off of the armrest during tilt operation. Also, they provide a positioning reference point posteriorly to allow caregivers & users to know where the UE should be positioned on the armrest.
With a 3in (7.62cm) x 10in (25.40cm) pad, elbow stops provide lateral support to keep the forearm positioned on the armrest (notably useful on uneven or bumpy terrain).
The UniLink is designed to be safely positioned behind a dual-tracked armrest to avoid collision with door frames and other obstacles, similar to Permobil's Corpus 3G and Quantum Rehab's Flip‑Back armrests.
Hardware General Configuration
Elbow stops are built mostly of black anodized aluminum but each joint has an insert made out of steel. Every link adjustment point has the ability to rotate up to 258° with unlimited travel offering fine-tunning capabilities.
The Flip-Away hardware allows you to move the hardware out of the way without the need of reconfiguring your set up. A red anondized aluminum button makes it easy to find the lock. Important Note Make sure the lock is on before adjusting the hardware.
When the Flip-Away is set straight, it rotates 142°. Depending on the configuration, the amount of travel can increase or decrease.

Set Up Warning Some mounts are designed to mount in the back of a dual-track armrests for optimal set up. If it is set up to offset on the side of the wheelchair the hardware will add width to the total width of the PWC frame width and can cause damage to structures and door frames if good driving practices are not followed and the extra offset considered.
Reconfigured for UniLink
UniLink Elbow pads have been updated to maintain consistency through the UniLink family. All pads will use metric threads. Original pads were SAE.
Pads are available in 3in (7.62cm) x 3in (7.62cm), 4in (10.16cm) x 4in (10.16cm) or contoured 3in (7.62cm) x 10in (25.40cm), either standard (Crosslinked) foam or non-toxic gel.
Our gel pads use a Glycerine/Mineral Oil based gel that passes flammability testing per RESNA WC-1 and international requirements, as well as CAL Prop 65, REACH and RoHS testing for Non-Known Harmful Chemical use. The gel has little to no-odor compared with other gels in the market.
