Most people who use a power wheelchair drive with a joystick. For people unable to use a joystick, a wide variety of alternative driving methods are available. The Head Array is a common alternative driving method which has been available for many years. More recently, a number of new options have become available. This webinar will compare features of 8 different Head Array models and match that to specific client parameters. Case Studies will be included.
Objectives:
- The participant will be able to describe features common to all Head Array models.
- The participant will be able to compare and contrast available Head Array models.
- The participant will be able to match a client who is appropriate for a Head Array to the most appropriate model.

Michelle is an occupational therapist with 30 years of experience and has been in private practice, Access to Independence, for over 10 years. She is a well-respected lecturer, both nationally and internationally and has authored numerous texts, chapters, and articles. She is the co-editor of Seating and Wheeled Mobility: a clinical resource guide, editor of Fundamentals in Assistive Technology, 4th ed., NRRTS Continuing Education Curriculum Coordinator and Clinical Editor of Directions magazine. Michelle is a member of the Clinician Task Force. Michelle is a certified ATP, certified SMS and is a Senior Disability Analyst of the ABDA.
